The Beer Tree is a magic tree on the banks of the River Cam. Once a
year the Beer Tree bears fruit — beer! By a lucky concidence this
usually occurs during the Cambridge Town Bumping Races! Every year the
thirsty rowers of the bumps donate considerable amounts for
charity.
After a Covid enforced break and a significant forced change in the way we do things, the Beer Tree is flowering again...
In 2022 we raised over £3200 for Milton Children's Hospice
In 2023 we raised over £4000 for Milton Children's Hospice
In 2024 we raised over £4100 for Milton Children's Hospice
In total, we have raised over £66,000 for all causes over the years.
Huge thanks are due to the efforts of the volunteers, the rowers, thirsty spectators and above the generous support of the 'Friends of the Beer Tree' — those companies and individuals without whose dedication this gloriously daft event would never happen.
Please support the Beer Tree in 2025. Contact the brewery.
