The Beer Tree is a magic tree on the banks of the River Cam. Once a
year the Beer Tree bears fruit — beer! By a lucky concidence this
usually occurs during the Cambridge Town Bumping Races! Every year the
thirsty rowers of the bumps donate considerable amounts for
charity.
The Beer Tree raised £3000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you to the "Friends of the Beer Tree" and to all the thirsty rowers and spectators who contributed.
